Welcome back to... the only radio station you want to listen to... all day... every day... maybe every hour, or second, or maybe every day... Rrrrrrrrrradio Radio!!! I am your host for the best starting radio station you now, besides from Radio Htrae. I can't tell you my real name because if I will get too popular (which I probably will) everyone will know who I am. So for Radio Radio, I am your special host, Richard!!! The third! There is a very exciting competition going on right now, and it is called " The Battle for the Best Radio Station" and there is a big competition, because for some reason, Radio Htrae is in it too! Shocking, shocking news!!! All of that was said on Radio Radio! Just keep that in mind for now. So this is a special day because this is the day that I will do my very, very special report... the famous Quick News Report!!! This will give you all the information you need for your day, and it won't be said anywhere else!!! Aaaarg ye maties!!! Its time for ye pirate voice time!!! Aaarg! Aaarg! I am ye scary pirate!!! Ha, ha, ha!!! Walk the plank!!! Ha, ha, ha! Ok! Times up for pirate voice!!! Now... to our Quick News Report! Back to the years of the War of 1812, the War of 1812... finally came to a complete end!!! The war is over folks!!! What a happy ending to the war, it ended! Aaah... The British and the Americans are in peace now, but you never know when something will happen that will begin another war! You never know folks!!! So far, so good. There then was an act made for the British that if someone that is British is found going to the United States, then they will pay, a lot! A big number of people did not listen to this act, and they got punished! That's right! They break the rules, they break their life!!! Some people got hanged, and for some, all their property was taken and never given back!!! Those poor people, you can't imagine what that would feel like! But also, Militia members and their families wanted to be recognized because they were really loyal to Britain. Who wouldn't want to be noticed for that!? The people that don't want to be. Simple. Simple as that. Yup..... YOU HEARD THAT ON RADIO RADIO!!! Yeah!!! That's what I'm talking about! Feel the awesomeness! Yes! The ones who survived were eligible to receive free land grant! That is what they get! Free land grants. The shocking part is that some of that land is actually the land that that the people had that broke the act's rule! They give their land to the loyal people! The loyal people mostly got pensions too if someone in their family died in the war, or got injured! That's called fast money!!! But big sacrifice. And now back to the First Nations, the British now had peace, and they no longer needed them to fight for them. Those First Nations sure are celebrating! They are one big happy group! There isn't really any big news anymore from North America, except the Weather conditions!!!! Shocking!!! Shocking, shocking news! There is a new section to Radio Radio now and it is called: The Weather News!!! There is also a song to go with it! Here it is: If you don't know the weather, that was around 200 years ago... what do you do?.... Be quiet and listed to the Weather News! Da, na, naaa! Yeah!  Yes, I know, that is a good song, and it will be played every time the Weather News will start!!! Now, to the weather that happened during the War of 1812!!! For the first couple of days, it was mostly a hot and sunny day, a good day to have a cup of lemonade! But no! It was war! At day time, it was very bright outside, and everything was in light. But. At night, it turned dark! Dark! So dark that you would be like: " Wow. It is dark outside! I wonder why?" That was bad for the army troops because... they couldn't see anything! That was pretty bad! The Battle for the Best Radio station!!! Part 1

Radio Htrae

   Hello hello!!! Welcome back to Radio Htrae!!!  The only radio station that has a name that makes no sense!!! That's right folks! No sense, only on Radio Htrae!!! This is a special report for " The Battle for the Best Radio Station", and it is obvious that Radio Htrae will win because a killer report is coming in three seconds. Two. One. Zero! The War of 1812 finally came to an end!!! That's right! No more hurting Mother Earth! (me) Britain is not attacking Napoleon anymore! It all happened because an amazing treaty! Ooh! A treaty! How exiting! (no joking there) The treaty was called " The Treaty of Ghent" and it was signed  on the 24 of December, 1914 in Belgium! The British got their territory and the American's got their's. What a happy ending folks! I just love it when there is more love in the world! But it was not over yet!!! There was still more to come! That's right! The British Colonies still had one more thing to do. Wait for it! Any time now... Ready? Huh? Really ready! Ok. Here it comes....................... They still had to decide how to punish the ones that helped the Americans in war!!! Yup!!! You heard that first on Radio Htrae!!! Not Radio Radio, but Radio Htrae. H.T.R.A.E. Upper Canada's Legislative Assembly created the Alien Act. This was made so it would be illegal to go to the United States after the war, in 1812. But not a lot of people listened to that act because, well, it was just an act!!! I don't know why my people make acts of death, or worse! Some people were going against the rules and I think that that was not a good move at all. First of all, you can't get away with it!!! There is someone always watching you!!! Maybe it is someone who's name rhymes with "you"......... I will leave that up to you to figure out, and if you get the answer, quickly come back to us, tell us the answer and you could be close to get a special prize! But the only way to get the prize is to answer the question: Who could be always watching and his (hint hint) name rhymes with "you". Now back to the report!!! Not the back of the report, but to go back to the report!!! Aaaah! I just can't give a good description of what I want to say! It's killing me!!!!!!!!! You don't know how it feels!!!! Noooo! Ok. Please! If this happened on radio, then I am going to tell you this... Help the people in need!!! Do it for Mother Earth!!!! Ok. So now the report. A lot of people got caught because of the act, and they didn't go to jail, they went somewhere else! To a dirty jail!!! I'm just kidding. They were sentenced to death! Death! You don't know how death feels!!! Well, the only person I know is the old Charles, the French villager that wrote some blog entries in the beginning. But death! Why?! Because the people broke the act's rules and they had to pay! Oooh. Those poor people! For some, their property was taken away!!! Shocking! There was also hanging people involved!!! Ooh! And I thought the war was over! War!!! ( I'm not surprised )

War! War! I am serious... The Americans just came and attacked!!! That is not nice. They want too much in my opinion! It was October 25, 1813, and I had to fight extra!!! I just had a breack from war and they put me back in for the work! But it was hard! The Americans really wanted to invade Montreal! I am surprised they just came in like that! But then those American troops made me laugh!!! Ha! They got some of their own troops during the war!! Ha, ha!!! But still, that is not the reason that they retreated because we had more troops then them... because we are better then the Americans!!! That is so, so, so, so true!!! But after that, in the year of 1814, there was another war!!! But it was worse. First, it was with the Americans... again!!!!!!!!! Second, it was dark, so you could hardly see anything!!! So that brings me to my next point. We even sometimes shot our own people, again. It was horrible!!! I sometimes wonder if I shot my buddy, George. Anyway, I think we, the British won because, we won. But no!!! The Americans think they won, and of course, they didn't win! They just didn't win! I tell you they didn't, and you probably think I am crazy, but it is totaly true!!! I can complain with you as long as I want!!! British, win. Americans, lose. British, yes. Americans, no. Yes. Not no, but yes the Americans lost. Yes. And yes to the British. Like seriously, really, the truth is what you are hearing right now!!! The British, no. The Americans of course a big yes!!! Yup... I mean no!! No! No! Not at all! Mistake!!! Mistake was made people!!!! The British won!!! The British! Yes. Thats  right............ Well, mayeby I went too far a bit. The truth of the truth is that it was kind of a tie. That is the truth now. So I hope you understand me now. I guess this is the end, but I will come back again to debate with you... Ok!?

Radio Radio is here folks!!!!

Yellow ye maties!!!I am your host for "Radio Radio". You might think I am ye pirate now because of ye accent!!!! Well guess what. I just did that for fun!!!! Ha Ha Ha!!! Ok, now back to the radio!!!! Radio Radio is a lot better than "Htrae" because we get our news faster and better and faster and even better than any news you heard, because our news is faster and better!!! So here is our "Quick news report" (QNR) It was found out that there was a man named John Strachan, and he was born in 1778 in Scotland. 1778!!!!!! You heard me right folks!!! 1778! Yup. Just remember, you heard that from... Radio Radio!!! During 1812, on the year that the war of 1812 was, he became the chaplain for the troops. That must of been a bad job for him! But the important part is that he actualy negotiated the surrender of York when it got invaded, and he gave better for the citizens. Wow!!!!! Shocking! Shocking news! This was from Radio Radio, first!!! This is why it is better than Radio Htrae and I am not wrong. Stay tuned to Radio Radio for more. There is a new tv series called "The Warriors" on A.D.A.M T.V with all the heroes from the war of 1812!!! All the action! Starring Richard Pierpoint, the expert in the First Nations-style warfare! The first episode will show how he orginized a Black Military with fighting, action, fighting and more action!!! But wait, just wait, there is more and more!!!! There will also be the one and only... Laura Secord!!!! Du nu nuuuuu!!!! She helped the whole colony by overhearing some men talking about how they are going to attack, and the hero comes to the rescue!!!! Da na naaaaaaaaaaaa! Watch "The Warrior" to see her amazing, epic, and amazing journey to tell the army that they are going to be attacked by surprise!!! Htrae (Earth) Radio station # 2

Hello! Hello, hello, hello!!! Welcome to Htrae Radio station!!! This is the second time I am, Mother Earth, making another radio announcement! Right now, a man named Brock has a job of being the head of the British forces, in Canada!!! Shocking stuff! He attacked a lot of places, and then he joined forces with Tecumseh to attack on an American fort!!! And, the American head of that army surrendered!!!! That's that folks! That meant great power for the British, of course, but a little later, Brock died. Oooh, the sadness. That is that for now folks! What a mistake!!!!

General Isaac Brock made a huge mistake! He wasn't ready with the attack of the Northwest Army! He just waited for a chance to be commander in Europe!!! Europe! Really!? Aren't we all in North America, not in Europe! What do I care about what is in Europe! I just fight in the army in North America. Brock wanted to fight with Napoleon, and we, the troops, get attacked! Right now, I am just scarred of another American invasion!!! This time, I will do what I want, in a secret way. So I don't get in trouble!!! Wish me luck!!!

The natest news!

Hello, hello, hello!!!!This is Mother Earth here!!! Hi! I just started this new radio station that I will be on and it is called: Htrae! ( it is "earth' backwards) It is a reaaly good station. You could her all the latest news on what is happening o Earth. That's me!!! I'm the expert here. Ok, so here is the latest news!!!! In North America, France and Britain want to have a war! How Horrible!!! There is probably going to be a lot of damage done to the Earth, and that could change the world!!! Yup. So, the British, they put ships along the water so the French can't go through!! That is good! I love it when my waves are moving!!! Some people think that some land in Ohio Valley should be part of the United States. That will be interesting! So then, a war was declared!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! No! Nooo!!! My feelings about North America...

I am so alive now!
Mostly in North America! There is a lot of hunting going on, for fur, for the fur trade! There are also a lot of farms! I like when they have farms because it tickles when they mow the field! Oooh!!! And, most of my trees are going down for timber and more space for a new town. The population is growing too. But the good thing is that there is a lot of planting going on because there are more and more farms!!!! Yay! Ahhh! I just love it when the humans grow things! It really makes me feel better. I like what they are doing in North America! I hope the growing continues, and remember, that I really like when you plant strawberries!!! I just love that taste and smell, and that fantastic feeling!                                      , Mother Earth

Fur, fur, fur!!!!!!!!!

I hate the fur stores!!!!! The fur, so much money!!! Money!! Where do the people think I will get that much money!? Huh! Huh? Well, I only got one piece of fur from the Hudson Bay Company, and it is pretty good, but the price is big! The fur trade now is huge! There are two big rivals for the fur trade! It is sooooo intense!!!! There is a company called the North West Company, and they really want to trade a lot of fur! Trust me! And to prove it, they dominated the fur trade! Wow! The HBC ( Hudson Bay Company ) , they even were forced to leave Hudson Bay to start establishing it's own trading posts in the West. I think that is to much overkill, but, the battle was fierce! So it has to end well for someone, and end badly for the other. But, I have to admit, the HBC was better then the North West Company, in my opinion. I heard from a friend that the two companies might come together and become one company. But that is just a rumor, so it will never happen, right?!

I have created a new town for my people!!!
I helped the government!
I helped everyone! (kind of)
But I also helped my family! We used to live in a small place, four walls and a roof, but now, we live in something more than that! But I couldn't of done it without The Queen's Rangers! The built the first buildings in York. We also made roads, like: Yonge Street and Dundas Street. And, now, alot of people are coming to York! I knew it would be a good thing! I made a new world!

My amazing plan....Duh!

I am really an amazing man. I helped Upper Canada sooo much! I led a Loyalist unit called the Queen's Rangers, I became the first lieutenant governer of Upper Canada, and I alot of more good plans to go. I think that York should be Upper Canada's military stronghold. It just makes so much sense!!! But the land by the lake, that land is so beautifull!!! I could build my castle there! But someone has it right now!! So sad.                 Well, not to brag, but, have an aaaammmmmaaaaazzzzzzzzziiiiiinnnnnnnnngggggg plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!                                              John Graves Simcoe

I am very happy of my people in Quebec. I am proud of them and myself for what a good colony this is. I am the Governer. I am most loyal to my amazing Government group: the Legislative Coincil, Executive Council, Legislave Assemby, and of course, the voters. I have a lot of responsibilities because, first of all, there are more and more people are comming to my colony to live, and also, there is the money. There is more money now, so I need to make sure none of it is wasted because I want to help my colony, to be a welcoming place for everyone. First day after moving...

Finally I found myself some land to live on!!! It is the heaven called Nova Scotia. Duh. Right now, there is this colony called New Brunswick. Sound's like a good place! My neighbour is now living in Cornwall, but I didn't want to go there because it is a bit crouded there by people. So I went here, Nova Scotia. I'm just living with my brother right now, so we need to do a lot on the farm. We just heard that people should have thew same rights. I guess that is a good idea. And also, the taxes are supposed to rise because the Goverrnment will do good things for us farmers, like alow us to fully own our farm land. Sweet!

Day 6001 after the war.......................................................

You might be wondering how I am still alive, and zat iz a good question! I em not alive!! I em in my grave writing letters, and zis is one of them. ( I zink there is a booger on this page ) I now can speak good EnglishAnyway... there isn't much now. But in Nova Scotia, it is really hard to get a farm. That sucks. Yup. Yup. Really, really. People are trying to stop that, but so far,,,,, nothing!!!!!!!!!! Then la, la ,la laaaaaaaaaa. The boring part's. Then, alot of people started to support Britain,  ( which is weird ) just because one person said so. I am starting to get sore because I don't have muscle. I now em in Nova Scotia. Yay. ..........................................................................................................Ok, zere iz e lot of work to dooh here! Zere e lot of British too! Aaaaaa!!! But it zs worz it! But ze winter iz awfull, awfull!!! Really! Really, really!! Like really, really, really!!! I'm not even joking really! Well, I am writing beck because my neighbour made me angry, so now I have nozing to do. He trew an epple seed on my flowers in my garden, and I say: Humbug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I say humbug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!              But now to ze letter I am writing... Ok. Yup. Time to get started. Now. How to start????????? Zis iz how! Because of ze war zet was 5760 days ago, most people in my village are leaving to anozer place. And I left my famaly in ze Zirteen Colonies because it iz better living somewere else. Like abot my neighbour, he zrew a epple seed on my flowers. What shame!!!!!!! Ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was really not neccesary turning me into a chicke, ok!! Like really, not needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now to get to the point. So, there was a war, and I wanted to stay neutral, but I got turned into a chicken. Yay. ( I was sorcastic there ) I think I spelled "sorcastic" wrong, but who cares? Then, there were loyalists, and most had European backrounds. There were also Black loyalists and they got all the freedom!!!!! Like my neighbour. But, loyalists had to be loyal to Britain, and believe you me, that that isn't easy! It is hard work!

Normal day being a soilder,

It is around 1787. I work for my colony, all day, all night. There was this girl once and her parents had supported the rebels. When the war started, I saw her getting driven away from her home to live beside a British fort, in New York. After that, she sailed to a new location to live with her husband and her kids. I heard from a friend soilder, that she has a child, and her name is Frost, Sarah Frost. When the Amercian Revolution began, lots of people were used as slaves, and I was lucky not to become one too. Some people escaped and went to the army. Then, I met this man named James Robertson, who imigrated to the Thirteen Colonies, whith his brother. They were making newspapers. I loved their papers!!!! I read them every day!!!! But a few weeks ago, James's brother died. How sad. Right now I started to cry.

My first letter

 This is exciting for me. It is really nice where I live, righ beside a little pond. You are probably wondering how I know english, and I will tell you. So I have this friend, Fred the fly, and he heard people english, so after a while, he knew the language well, and he taught me it. But that is not important. I heard that some people that live beside me have to pay, to live on that land. Isn't that weird? Also, some people think that they should have more rights than other people, and I don't even know what a right is??!!! And, I heard that Ohio Valley is now part of Quebec!!!! Sweet! Now, there is something called " tax" every time you buy paper. I hope you enjoyed my first piece of writing, in english!!!

Dear ...........,

I became the leader of the First Nations!!! We are going to party all day! I also made an alliance with the First Nations and we are all protecting our land from settlers. We also took over some British Forts because they tried taking our land! Those rats!!! Sadly, we had to leave our new land because the winter is coming, and it is going to be bad! Because of this, I had to make peace with the British cause the have land right beside our's. Last night, I overheard the British taking about issuing a royal proclamation, and I never heard that before in my life!!! Day 31 after 7 year war

Awfull! Awfull!!! The good news iz zet ze war is over, but ze bad news iz zet us French, lost against ze British!!!  Lost!!!!!!!!!!! I am lucky thet I am alive and zis iz ze only thing I feel like doing, writing in my journal. Now, ze British probably vant to turn the French people into British people, but zet iz certainly not going to heppen!!! Us French are strong!!! Also, our language and culture iz still around and it will remain! Ze First Nations still have claim of land, and ze Thirteen Colonies seperated from Britain, which I zink iz good, and they might name ze whole place to somezing like "United". ( Its a rumor going on) Sorry, but in about ten minutes, my famali will have a small funeral for my father and I guess I will write back in 30 minutes... Got to get ready!                              Well, ze British still have to decide how to rule the French Catholic poppulation because it has been about a week, without anyzing done!!!
